Our Process

From the first conversation to the final walk-through: know what to prepare and what to ask.

Four stages

Your project, step by step.

01

Initial consultation

Start with the space and the outcome.

Share the type of work you are considering, where the property is and what is not working for you now. The consultation is the place to discuss scope, priorities and the questions that need an on-site assessment.

  • Bring reference images and any existing plans you have.
  • Identify must-haves separately from optional improvements.
  • Discuss your budget preference, timing and whether the property will remain occupied.
02

Detailed proposal

Review the scope before committing.

Read the proposed work room by room or trade by trade. Clarify exclusions, material selections and any assumptions before agreeing on the project.

  • Ask how undecided finishes or fixtures are represented.
  • Confirm the payment terms and proposed schedule in your agreement.
  • Discuss who is responsible for building approvals and any required permits.
03

Managed execution

Keep decisions and access coordinated.

Construction brings trades, deliveries and homeowner decisions together. Discuss communication arrangements and the next decisions needed so the work can be planned around the property.

  • Confirm site access, deliveries and areas that need protection.
  • Review interruptions to kitchens, bathrooms or other essential spaces.
  • Agree on any change in writing, including its cost and timing implications.
04

Walk-through and sign-off

Review the work with a written checklist.

Walk through the completed scope and check finishes and operation together. Make a record of any remaining items and how they will be addressed.

  • Check surfaces, trim, joints and paint touch-ups.
  • Test doors, hardware and relevant fixtures.
  • Discuss care instructions and applicable project documentation.

Before the first conversation

Start with a useful brief.

Collect your priorities, property type, timing and budget preference in one place. Our project planner creates a printable brief and a preparation checklist without requiring contact details.

Planning guidance is not a quote, a promised completion date or approval for construction. Project-specific requirements are discussed during the consultation.
